about my order. How do I speak with a shopkeeper?

We would love to talk with you and wish to continue cultivating a direct relationship with our customers.
Our staff is always available to speak with you or correspond by email during store hours
(Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. PDT, Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. PDT, Sunday CLOSED).
If we are unable to answer your initial call, please leave a message and one of us will call you back as soon as possible.
WEB ORDERS
From the time you place your order, please allow three days for processing plus one to five additional days for shipping.
Within the state of California, shipping takes between one and three days, and for out-of-state orders shipping takes three to five days.
Can my
order be rushed?
Yes, we can accommodate rush orders.
We charge an additional handling fee
for each rush order and are able to process them Monday-Friday during store hours.
We can ship a rush order on the same day if we receive it by 2:00 p.m. PST, and will ship those placed after 2:00 p.m. or on Saturday or Sunday the morning of the next business day.
To place a rush order, simply indicate in the ‘comments’ field that you would like us to RUSH your order.
The rush fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card after we have confirmed the details of the order.
We will then process your order as quickly as possible in accordance with the timing specified above.
If we are unable to rush your order we will contact you directly and not charge an additional rush fee.
How do I
cancel my order that I have already placed?
Firstly, an order can be cancelled only IF it has not yet been processed.
Contact us as soon as possible by calling our mail-order desk, which you can reach one of two ways: 1) call the bookstore directly and select option 4; or 2) call the college and dial extension 134.
If you do not reach a staff person, please leave a message.
Also, you can email the mail order desk at bookstore@steinercollege.edu.
Because your credit card is not charged until we complete your order, if you reach us before your order is processed (typically a day or two from the placement of
your order) cancellation is simple.
What kind of
confirmation and communication will I receive?
You will receive an email confirmation moments after submitting your online order.
Once we have confirmed that all books are in stock, we will charge your credit card, ship your order and email a shipment confirmation.
If you have submitted an inquiry in the ‘notes’ field of your order, we will address it at that time, as well.
If we have questions for you or are temporarily out-of-stock of an item, we will contact you immediately by phone or email.
In most cases we are able to replenish out-of-stock items within a week or two, and will share these details in our communication.
We will wait for your response about how to proceed.
We email Bookstore newsletters and announcements a few times each year.
If you would prefer not to receive them, please let us know by including a note in the ‘notes’ field of your electronic order or by contacting us directly at bookstore@steinercollege.edu.
Do you sell
Wholesale?
Yes, we do.
In order for customers to be eligible for a wholesale trade discount, they must be establishments with a valid reseller’s permit.
These include bookstores, retail shops and Waldorf school stores.
Retail reselling of books is required.
Please see our corresponding Discount Policies below for more details.
Also of interest is that The Bookstore at Rudolf Steiner College is the USA distributor for Rudolf Steiner College Press (RSCP).
As such, we offer titles published by RSCP to Trade Accounts at wholesale pricing.
We are happy to provide a current list of Rudolf Steiner College Press titles and prices.
We also make the majority of our book collection available to wholesale customers at a lower discount rate.
Can I
special order a book or product that I don't see online?
Yes! Please contact us directly by phone or email if you are interested in an item you do not see online- and can't find a good reason why not.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover as the most standard forms of payment.
Purchase Orders
Purchase Orders
can be submitted for online orders if you are buying on behalf of a business, such as a school, and have an account already established with us.
To do this, choose the PO payment option and complete all necessary information.
Do you sell
gift certificates?
Yes we do!
You can order gift certificates by clicking the Gift Certificate menu option at the left.
Can I
use my gift certificate to pay for online orders?
Yes, when completing your order, select gift certificate as the tender.
Enter the required information, and:

If your order total is less than the value of the gift certificate
we will issue a credit under your name in our retail database for use at a later time.

If your order total is more than the value of the gift certificate
, select a second form of payment to pay for the balance.
When we receive your order, internally we will confirm the balance available on your gift certificate.
If we are unable to verify the gift certificate, we will hold your order and contact you directly.
EXCHANGES & RETURNS
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact us immediately. We promise to
do everything we can to make things right.
If you would like to make an exchange or return, we require a receipt dated within 60 days of the purchase and will gladly offer a full refund of the purchase price less the shipping fee.
Refunds may be offered as a store credit for cash, check, and credit card purchases, or as a credit to your credit card if your purchase was made with a credit card.
Products must be unopened and books must be in perfectly new and unused condition.
We cannot accept returns or exchanges on any merchandise that is not in new condition or for packaged products that have been opened.
To ensure that our sensitive products are of the highest quality, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for:

If four or more items are returned, a restocking fee of 10% will be deducted from the total value of the return before a refund or credit is calculated.
Returns for exchange are accepted without a restocking fee.
Please ship your return First Class or Priority Mail through US Postal Service or with UPS.
Please do not ship via Media Mail because packages often arrive damaged and we will not be able to refund you the full amount of the books.
You are responsible for the condition of the product until it arrives to our store.

What if
I do not have my receipt?
We are willing to consider returns or exchanges for merchandise without receipts.
Please contact us directly to ensure that we can accept your return.
All returns must meet the criteria as stated above and we
can offer only store-credit for the lowest selling value of the merchandise within the last 60 days.
