Begun in 1987 to serve the students of Rudolf Steiner College and the greater community, we are a bookstore with actual bricks and mortar. Our shop is part of our beautiful 13 acre campus, complete with biodynamic farm, in Fair Oaks, California. We created our online store in response to requests from the dedicated students of the College and our faithful patrons who span the globe. They have wished for years to support the Bookstore and College when they are not able to come to our campus.
While we have one of the deepest and broadest selections of resources on Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy on the web, the real competitive edge of the online Bookstore at Rudolf Steiner College is human beings. Thinking, caring human beings work on your behalf. We consciously consider each addition to the shop, ferret out new and meaningful resources, answer phones, make recommendations, climb ladders, fill orders and pack boxes. We enjoy our customers and have fun toiling with our co-workers.

Our shop in Fair Oaks is small but potent - houses much more than books.
In the shop we have an extensive selection of arts, crafts, teaching and classroom supplies as well as musical instruments in support of the Waldorf Waldorf curriculum and homeschooling families. We also carry a broad range of medicaments, remedies, face and body care products from Dr. Hauschka, Weleda, Uriel Pharmacy, Flower Essence Services (FES) and True Botanica. We sell biodynamic wool under layers for children and adults.
We also have children's book, wooden toys and dolls made from natural materials, beeswax candles and truly unique gift items for all ages. Committed to social and environmental responsibility, we work with fair trade organizations, women’s cooperatives, Anthroposophical initiatives, local artisans, and sustainable communities like Camphill and Sekem. We also carry a unique selection of food and beverage items, including chocolate, from fair trade, organic, and biodynamic resources.
