Academic Membership and Licensing

  • Waldorf Accreditation: Rudolf Steiner College is a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). The College offers Teaching Certificates in Waldorf Education that are recognized by AWSNA. 
  • California State Approval: Rudolf Steiner College is an approved degree-granting organization by the California Bureau of Private Post-Secondary Education (BPPE).
  • Regional Accrediting Candidate: Since its founding in 1976 Rudolf Steiner College has been approved by the State of California as a private postsecondary institution. It is now seeking accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

    Rudolf Steiner College voluntarily complies with all state statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to a private postsecondary or non-WASC regionally accredited institution as defined in Section 94740.5 of the Education Code as it existed on June 30, 2007.

                       


Tax Exempt Status

Rudolf Steiner College is a tax exempt organization under the provisions of IRS code section 501(c)(3). Contributions are deductible as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Rudolf Steiner College is exempt from federal income tax as an educational institution under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

As an educational institution, Rudolf Steiner College is also exempt from California state income tax.
